Nick Knack

My cousin crochets beautiful hats. She even started her own business. I have always wanted hats like that for the kids. When I saw she made them I decided to see if she could do a little something for me. Well I must say I am extremely pleased and impressed with what she came up with! They turned out awesome and even more the kids absolutely love them.

How cute are they!?! I had to coax the kids to take them off. Levi kept telling me he was so excited for his new hat. I love how much they love them and they look so cute in them! Thank you so much Jenny! You did a beautiful job.

Check out Nick Knack Krochet if you want a hat as cute as these!

Valentine's Day

We usually don't do anything for Valentine's day. At least not really since we left college. Today we had a great day. We didn't go over the top doing all sorts of crazy things but we did have some special treats. The one thing I want to teach my kids is how to treat the ones you love. So in doing that I had Alan take the boys to Claire's flower shop in Perkasie and get Paige some flowers. They were so excited when they got home to give their flowers. They even got some for me!

Levi decided he didn't want his picture taken. He was hiding behind the door. Little stinker.

Putting the flowers in water.

Mmmmm they smell good!

This morning I took the kids to Mr. B's which is an indoor playground in Souderton. The kids had a blast playing and running around. We came home and had a usual lunch and nap. After Daddy got home from work we opened some cards from Grandma and Pepaw. They also sent gifts for the kids which they loved. :) In their cards were some coupons for McDonalds. So we went there for dessert!

The kids each got a free ice cream cone. Alan and I had a shamrock shake. A good end to our night!

Me and my girl. <3 p="">
After the kids were in bed I had my dessert. Happy Valentine's day! :)

Ash Wednesday

Want to know where my kids get their crazy from? Well look no further. Alan went to the Ash Wednesday service at church and I asked him to let me take a picture of him for my picture of the day. Here is what I got.

Yea apples don't fall far from the tree. lol

Snow!

We got snow! Not as much as they were planning for but enough to have some fun in. We went outside Saturday morning and had some fun playing in the snow.

Here we are putting on our snow stuff! They were extremely excited to out and play. I am pretty sure they atrted asking to go out around 7:30 in the morning. I think we held them off till about 8:45 or so. lol

Here we are all bundled up and ready to go!

And away they go! We had them play out front so they could help Daddy shovel the driveway and clean off the cars.

Helping Daddy can be fun! Especially when he throws snow on us and we run away laughing.

Let imaginations flow

Imaginations in this household are in full swing. Between all the games we play and all the characters we become a lot of fun is being had all around! Our 2 favorite games right now are hide and seek, and ring around the rosie. They are too funny watching them play hide and seek. One goes up the stairs to count. The other 2 go "hide" Levi usually hides under a blanket on the couch. This usually means he just covers his head while giggling a lot. Nathan heads for the bathroom. He goes in for about a minute and then comes out giggling before the seeker even comes to find him! Paige usually walks around giggling or she hides behind a chair. It is too funny to watch them play!

Ring around the rosie is also entertaining to watch. They usually try to rush me to the ashes to ashes part so they can all fall down.

Also notice that we are starting to dress ourselves. Paige picked her outfit out herself today! And Levi put his pants on all by himself. I love that their personalities are starting to shine more and more every day!

We all fall down!

Another favorite right now is playing dress up. They all love to dress up! They are also big into super heros too. We like to save the world!

Pretty Miss Paige.

In comes the swat team and superman!

The mess we create when we are dressing up! Notice Superman on the couch "flying"

We are all flying like Superman!

Say hello to Dr. Dean and Fancy Nancy.

I used to "bike" with my Dad on the couch all the time. I have started doing that with the kids and they started doing it with each other. Too cute!

2/3rds of the Justice League and a pink dinosaur!

Just doing the dishes.....with a little help.

Thank goodness the help is cute! Or as she says...."Mommy I a cootie!"

Super Bowl Sunday

We had a very low key super bowl Sunday this year. Just us and the kids hanging out at home. We decided to have a Digiorno pizza. I of course had a coupon. Paige and I went to Giant to pick up our pizza. While we were at Giant the boys decided to do some baking.

Peppermint sugar cookies! They have been in the fridge a while so we thought we should use them before they expired.

While at the store they had football balloons on clearance. Now I like a clearance and the kids love balloons so it was a win win in my book. Something to make our super bowl just a little special. :)

Go football! Alan was yelling at the tv and the kids were right there yelling with him. It was too funny. If Alan cheered they cheered. They started clapping for anything that happened on the tv. very cute.

The kids are now in bed and this is how Alan and I are enjoying the commercials......I mean the game....yea the game that's it. ;)

Stop....Hammer time

That's right it was Home Depot day again. Today we took the kids to Home Depot to build Valentines boxes. Paige was really into hammering this time and was upset when she was finished. Of course we had lots of fun and have some cute boxes to show for it!

Levi with his protective eye wear. He thought they were fun to play with.

We did it! We made some cute mail boxes!

Now we add paint. Notice Daddy cleaning up Paige's hair. She decided pink was her color! Hahaha.

The finished product. :)

We decided to hang them by our basement door. Now I have a place to put love notes for them.

I added some letter stickers for their names. I think they turned out really cute and I can't wait to leave little notes for them!

We love this program that Home Depot does. I highly suggest going if you have little kids. They do it the first Saturday of every month. Next month is a race car. My boys are going to love that one! I can't wait!

February!?!

I can't believe it is February already! Today we spent the day at home. It was laundry day. Fun stuff! For a change of pace today after lunch we cleaned up our toys and I let them watch Barney in Mommy and Daddy's bed. They looked so cute snuggled together.

Don't let those cute faces fool you. They are little devils they are!

Today I also dug out some dress up clothes that I had stashed. Paige had a blast dressing up all day long. She was all sorts of different characters. It was pretty neat seeing her little imagination going. Tonight after dinner Levi decided he was going to dress up.

Doesn't he make a cute Dorothy!?! I need to show the kids The Wizard of Oz. I think they would really like it. Perhaps we will have to watch it with Grammy. It's one of her favorites!
